After six days of trial and testimony, a jury in South Bend, Indiana deliberated for less than five hours before finding Purvi Patel guilty Tuesday, according to ABC News.

Teen sentenced to 17 years in connection to shooting near Elkhart elementary school
A 15-year old has been sentenced for the 2013 shooting near Mary Beck Elementary School. A news release from the Elkhart County Prosecutor's Office said Francisco Ambriz-Perez was sentenced to a total of 17 years for the shooting. Ambriz-Perez accepted a plea agreement in October of 2014, pleading guilty to felony aggravated battery and misdemeanor dangerous possession of a firearm.
